The poncho goes over anything to add a layer of warmth. The grey is a nice charcoal that goes with many of my scarves. Some reviewers found it too short. I am 5'8" and it comes just below my waist and the fringe hangs lower. I like it because it does NOT look like someone dropped a tent on me!
