I sweat a lot and always get chilled on long rides. I tried this jersey out as a second layer over a base in 55 degree weather at night with a mild wind and it was a great wind blocker and kept me warm. But I have also used it as a base layer with a jacket over it to good effect. It's a true Medium for me - I'm 5'6" and 145 pounds - fits like a glove, stretchy, long in back, stylish, ample pockets.
Only 1 small drawback- it does ride up in back because there is no rubber strip lining the hem at the bottom. Doesn't matter. A stunner of a top.

I wore a light thermal base layer underneath the jersey and together these items allowed me to maintain a perfect body temperature throughout the ride. There was a light wind blowing but I did not feel the chill at any time.
I usually buy medium in stores but noted this was a trim fit so I referred to the sizing chart and bought one size up. The fit is perfect. The sleeves are long (if you are not long-limbed like me I can imagine this could be a problem), as is the jersey length - this one actually covers my bum and does not ride up in the crouch position. I love the feel of the fabric; it's very soft and comfortable to wear. The pockets provide ample room for storage and the credit card pouch is a nice extra touch.
I was so thrilled with my purchase I came back and bought a Pearl Izumi jacket too. The pricing here for both products was simply unbeatable.
