I bought this to have a tent alternative on nice nights, or for use in a shelter on buggy nights. Set-up is a little tougher than one might think. The screen pulls _very_ tight when stretched onto the poles, and this is my main concern. At the top attachment, it looked like it might fray the screen or pull out at the stitching, with continuous pressure. Or maybe it will stretch out a bit with time? I haven't decided whether to return the bivy or give it a test trip (since it's too cold out here to use it this season). Also, there is no pole at the foot (I thought there was one from the pic)-- it is a guy-out. I was hoping that I could find a fly for this thing to have a full-service bivy, but I haven't seen one yet (so would have to use a tarp). I am on the line whether this is a product that will work and last in the back country, or not.
