The style is flattering and elegant. Perfect for special occasions. It is simple yet stylish. It is plain black although in the picture it appears to have a design.

The print of the fabric is not overwhelming, tends to hide spots you don't want to point out and the applique really snazzes it up. The sizing is correct, that is why as a short person (5'2") I had to send it back. I'm not absolutely certain but I think if you can remove the applique you can easily wash this dress rather than accumulate dry cleaning bills.

But on my busty figure the low-cut bodice was a bit too eye-popping. Sadly, I returned it.
