Women with larger calves, rejoice! Both looked good with minimal bunching up at the knee, which I hate. I don't have super thin calves either and have not found a boot yet this winter that I can tuck my jeans into until these. I think they actually even elongate my legs, a welcome look for a 5'4" girl. They have kept my feet warm during this rather cold NJ winter. Also they were the only footwear I brought on a recent train trip to Baltimore and they were very comfortable to travel in and went with many different outfits from day to evening. I didn't get any blisters and my feet did not hurt after walking around the city. They only minor drawback is that the pointy toe box felt a little tight at first but seems to have broken in nicely with wear. I feel that the styling of these is a little reminiscent of the 80s, but since they are plain black they are still versatile and classy looking. I noticed the suede got scuffed while walking, but were easily brushed clean again with just my hand. I cannot attest to the waterproofing and don't plan on wearing them in nasty weather, but so far they are a great winter boot.

I like having things that are a little different and these are perfect. I feel good and look good in them. These are truly waterproof. My feet have remained dry after stepping in countless pools of melted snow. I haven't had a problem walking on the ice either.

I was prepared to be disappointed but to my surprise these boots are even nicer than I expected. It's hard to believe that such an attractive suede boot is actually practical as well. Have not found anything like it in the stores.
