Returned jacket due to poor drape By Jack from Morro Bay, CA on 07/07/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I like Barbour coats but returned this one. It just didn't drape well enough in the back. The fabric cling to my clothes and had to be pulled down.
By Billy The Hillbilly from Charleston, WV on 03/16/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great midweight jacket. It fits about a size smaller in the chest than my Beaufort. The Beaufort is a medium, and the Epsom is a large -- my normal size. The hand of the fabric is soft, and it drapes well. The STP site dosn't say so, but this is a waterproof jacket. My favorite Barbour!
Excellent, versatile jacket By George from Virginia on 01/29/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wear this jacket every day in the fall and winter, usually over a sweater or pullover. Gets compliments for being different from the more common Beaufort/waxed cotton Barbour jackets that are popular around here, as well as for quality of cut/appearance. Sleeves are a little on the short side, as seems to be a trend with Barbour jackets. In the almost two years I've had the jacket, only one defect has made itself evident: a tear that appeared on the right chest within the first month of regular use. No problems since, very durable. I'm tempted to purchase the olive/sage "classic" Barbour (the Beaufort) to supplement this one, but won't until the right deal comes along. Until then, this one, especially at this price, is a great jacket.
