By Snowbound from Vermont on 03/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Wind Resistant Cons: Pit zips are hard to open, Poor Ventilation Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Pit zips are hard to open and close. Hood is a little hard to adjust. Otherwise it is a great "hard shell" jacket. I have been using it for running, snowshoeing, skiing, and it is very versatile. It adjusts well to a variety of temperatures. Great stretch. I would prefer a softer fabric but it might not be as wind and water proof. PS - I am not sure my clicks in some of the boxes above were accepted. There is no indication.
The Koven Jacket delivers. By flatlander from Clare, MI on 01/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket has plenty of ventillation and pockets suitable for backcountry travel in snow. It's lightweight and breathability make it a perfect outerlayer in moderate to vigorous outdoor activity.
By Frugal shopper from Philadelphia, PA on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features, Not Warm Enough Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have the cloudveil soft shells and they are comfortable in three seasons, in winter I wear a shell over them. I was surprised this jacket was smaller and really too lightweight for an overjacket. I had to return because as a waterresistant layer wanted something to be worn over other layers.
