Worth Buying with a 25% Coupon By Fleece Fiend from Delmarva, MD on 11/03/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, soft, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cool or windy days Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a thrifty spender that has gotten hooked on Patagonia clothing-- the discounts STP can offer me makes this one of the only outlets I purchase this brand from. This fleece is stiffer than other items I have purchased--but it is still soft and wearable. I bought the sable color and love how rich and deep chocolaty brown. Not metallic or pearly as shown in the STP photos. Will be keeping this item, I'm thinking it will be perfect for mornings or evenings out at the barn this fall and as a staple piece during the day for our cold Maryland winters.
By annabelle from madison, wi on 10/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: i have been eyeing this fleece for awhile, and when i saw it at this price i had to get it. i've worn it every day since. the red is a good color - not flaming bright, but definitely bold. i am 5'3'' 115 lbs and the fit is pretty perfect - the chest is a bit puffy, but my chest is tiny so, this won't be the case for everyone. the r4 is remarkably warm considering how light it is. i've worn it in temps around 30 and been comfortable (and i just moved from florida to wisconsin). it's also held up pretty well in the rain for me, although you would probably get pretty wet in a downpour. i plan on using for running during the wisconsin winter as well.
