great buy!! on a D2 steel blade. Being a NRA numbered collector makes it even better. I am ordering a second one for a keep sake and will really test this one out in the field.

Sharp out of the box.
This will make a great general big-game field-dressing knife as well as a skinner.
The sheath, while attractive, does not come near the quality of the knife. With the strap unsnapped, it fits the knife quite loosely, and has zero additional retention ability. Do NOT invert the sheath, even a little, with the strap unsnapped.
The strap could also use a stiffener (metal tab) on the tab by the snap, as after just a few manipulations the leather here has become too flexible to be an effective thumb-/finger-break.
