Compact and solid, straps are weird By NYU Commuter from New York on 07/30/2008 Pros: Good padding, Large capacity Cons: The straps feel wide Best Uses: Commuting school Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use my pack to commute too and from work/school. I love the cordoroy computer compartment, which is closest to your back so you don't feel like you are carrying too much weight. My only complaint is that the straps feel a bit wide for me (I don't have a small frame either).
By Isaacs' mom from California on 07/22/2008 Pros: Good padding, Large capacity, Very adjustable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Was purchased for my 11 yr. old for school. The quality is great & I hope it will last longer than any of the other brands he has used in the past. Since he drags his bags they always rip on the bottom. Hopefully he will not do this with his Timbuk2. The only negative is that I did not realize that a 17 in. notebook fits in the bag. My son does not own that size of a notebook (& will not be getting one) so the backpack does seem quite long. It would be nice if one was made for a 15 in.[...]Since my son was excited about receiving it I'm sure he felt like it took forever. Again, great product from Timbuk2 [...]
