But they're lightweight, non-bulky, practical, and a bit funky. (I mean funky as a good thing ...)

Lightweight and effective By mattybeans from san francisco on 07/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Compact, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These dishes, plates and cups were pretty useful-extremely light, and kind of fun (to put together). I went on a backpacking trip with some pros that used these, so I was a bit intrigued. They seem durable, are very easy to put together (after a brief bit of puzzlement), and were easy to clean. I didn't think of this before I bought them, but they handled boiling water well also. I think they're a good buy (although they must be pretty cheap to produce ;) and very useful.
