They're warmer than any of my expensive skiing gloves. The fingerless/mitten system doesn't work though. The fingers fall out of the hole. I fixed them with a tread so they're mittens all the time.

The pop-tops are great for that. Watch out wiping a drippy nose, though... there's a patch of velcro that really stings a chapped nose.
