Le Chameau Deltanord thigh waders By Horsetan from London, UK on 09/19/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip Best Uses: Casual Wear, Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm glad to have got these Deltanord traditional rubber thigh waders. They are well-built and strong, yet are reasonably flexible enough to walk in. The full neoprene lining keeps my legs and feet very warm in cold weather.
If there is a slight disadvantage, it is that rubber is not breathable, and without the right liner socks or stockings, condensation or perspiration can build up if temperatures rise. I have found that when combined with my custom-made full height fleece wader stockings, the waders are perfect because condensation is much reduced.
As well as fishing, I have also found them useful when riding my horse in heavy rain! Being full height, they are excellent at keeping the rain off my legs and feet. No doubt they might be useful for other jobs too, e.g. washing the car.
I highly recommend them.
