Awesome winter mountain boot By Toby-Wan-Kenobi from Shelton, WA on 10/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On & Adjust, Great Grip, Versatile, WARM but never hot Best Uses: Alpine Routes, Heavy Snow, Mixed Routes, Winter Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this boot when I'm going to be in the snow all day. works great with crampons, snow-shoes and just plain kick-stepping. My feet are comfy and warm but never too hot or sweaty. These boots are pretty stiff, so I don't wear them on long trail approaches. When you do wear them on trail, be sure to wear them loose at the top, as they have limited flex (closer to a ski boot than a hiking shoe). Great deal. Great boot. These suckers will last many more years of Cascade climbing!

As a Paramedic/Ski patroler I use this boot quite often from everything from working under the lift line to back country rescues. This boot performs very well in all tempatrues that I have encountered.
