By The Rooster from Sausalito, California on 11/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Ventilation, Highly Adjustable, Lightweight Best Uses: Boating, Paddling Describe Yourself: Advanced User Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this mostly for kayaking (touring/ocean sit-in kayak), which I think brings about most of the comfort demands of a PFD. Easy to move in, it's not too hot, not restrictive at all. One important advantage to the adjustment features are when you change clothing for the conditions for an outing. If you need to wear something extra (wet weather gear, fleece, etc.), this jacket allows some expansion and still has a safe, snug fit. That works the other way when a t-shirt is enough to be on the water.
The pockets con is that the pockets aren't as functional as the look, and they're not as easy to get into with gloved hands. I wish they held just a little bit more.
Other than that, this is a very good product, would recommend it, and would purchase it again. Very comfortable, good fit, easy to move in.
Well made alternative to +150.00$ PFDs By dadburnet from Chicago on 11/19/2008 Pros: Durable, Lots of storage Cons: Adjustment different Describe Yourself: Advanced User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great Touring PFD for the money. Adjustment takes getting used to... has some cool features, towing slot etc.
By Woofie from Central vermont on 08/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Ventilation, Great Mobility, Highly Adjustable Describe Yourself: Intermediate Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am an avid canoeist and I have been using this model for years. I just bought another one (my 3rd) as a spare, eventually my oldest one (5 years+) will wear out.
Have worn these from big-water canoe tripping to freestyle practice- Great product!
