By City biker from Washington, DC on 06/23/2008 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Waterproof Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Bought this bag a few weeks ago for commuting. It's great and durable.
Pros:
- Super-rugged. This bag can take a serious beating.
- Totally waterproof - one day, I forgot my umbrella and had to walk with the bag over my head. I stayed dry, and more impressively, so did the contents of the bag.
- Enormous and well-organized. Should be able to carry everything you need.
- Pretty well-padded in the right spots. Except when biking while it's overloaded, it's reasonably comfortable to carry.
Cons -
- The plastic clip for the shoulder strap worries me a little bit. It's held up fine so far, but it doesn't seem quite as durable as the rest of the bag.
- Tough to bike when the bag is fully loaded with heavy items. However, this is probably my own stupid fault for throwing a 6-pack of beer and some other heavy items in, and trying to bike uphill.
By Charlie from North Idaho on 05/20/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Cons: Had some condensation in Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the bag to carry items for long hikes. It is large and holds a lot. It is overall waterproof. I did get some condensation in the pocket flap.
By Niki from Seattle, WA on 02/27/2008 Pros: Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Cons: Shoulder strap insecure Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This bag is very roomy. After about 20lbs of loading/pulling/pressure, the shoulder strap can snap out of its clip, sending the whole bag crashing to the ground. Everything else about this bag is wonderful - the waterproofing is excellent, the zippers are great - and it is a shame not to be able to use it because of this problem.
