Attaining a quality blade at a moderate price has become a problem. The flood of knives coming from Pakistan and China, at loss leader prices, has driven many quality knife makers from the marketplace. Another tactic has been for hallmark makers to relocate over seas, to reduce production costs. Sadly this is the case here. The Argentinian produced knives, sport the Boker name, but the execution and finishing of their fine designs, leave much to desire. My purchases suffered from "chatter" marks of poor machining, lack-luster polishing and cracking of the wood handles.
