By Buzz from Santa Fe, NM on 07/21/2008 Cons: Not Warm Enough, Zipper Snags Easily Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This definitely doesn't feel like a zero degree bag. I do tend to run cold, but I was freezing while camping in the mountains in Colorado in 30 degree weather and it was June! Feels like maybe a 35 or 40 degree bag. Also, the zipper gets stuck easily which is frustrating when you want to get out. It is comfortable and soft, though.
Roomy, unsure of temp. rating By Chip from Cary, Illinois on 01/04/2008 Cons: Absorbs Water, Zipper Snags Easily Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking, Car Camping, Cold Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bag is reasonably roomy, but have problems with zipper snagging rather constantly. Also, not sure I believe the 0 degree rating, but I haven't had a chance to use it that cold yet. Duck down/feathers aren't quite as nice as goose, but at this price it is pretty reasonable.
Lightweight, Warm, and Comfortable! By Spirit Orion from Lakeside, Az (White Mountains) on 12/13/2007 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Great Zipper System, Lightweight, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking, Car Camping, Cold Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great bag particularly for colder weather camping. Stows easily in backpack sleeping bag compartment. It's not made with water resistent material (which is heavier), hence the lighter weight for this warm of a bag. I opted for the lighter weight in addition to the warmth. I have two bags and this one will be used for my winter backpacking/camping expeditions. Its definately a wonderful sleeping bag and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
