Made me wonder what would break/fail next? Very sharp blade, but I can't risk carrying gear I can't depend on.
poor quality for a Buck knife By Road Captain from Allover, US on 01/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Garage or junk drawer Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a long-time Buck Knife user, so I was excited to see this combination of tools, even though the knife was made in Taiwan. I will grant that the main blade is very sharp. However, the corkscrew broke completely off the knife the first time I used it to open a bottle of wine. Buck Knives is aware of the design flaw, and or material flaw, and will repair/replace broken knives if the user mails them on their own dime back to Buck.

She, also, does a lot of hiking and camping. This knife should be very useful for her.
