Don't want to take them off... By Chainsaw from Longmont, CO on 03/13/2010 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable, Good Arch Support, Great Traction, No Break-in, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Titans are appropriately named. They're bulletproof, comfortable and can take on anything you're up for from a light hike to a technical assent through rock and ice. I've used these for a couple of deep snow mountaineering adventures and have been extremely impressed with how comfortable they are right out of the box for all-day hikes despite being rock solid and stiff as a board. My wife is not fond of the color, but I love their unique look. Go for it - treat yourself to these great boots.
BTW - I also bought the Millet Radikal Lites, which I also love, but for slightly lighter duty.
You get what you pay for! A++++ boots! By motochain from Flagstaff, AZ on 03/11/2010 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the boots! They do feel about a 1/4 size too big, but when you get boots like this it's nice because you're normally wanting to wear a heavier pair of socks as well. They seem very well built and look like they'll last awhile.
By More outdoors please! from Alaska on 03/08/2010 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable, Good Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Weatherproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After my wife purchased a pair, she bought me a pair as she said I had to have them. I usually wear Asolo and these boots are no exception to the quality that Asolo provides. The soles are stiff like mountaineering boots are supposed to be but they have a little bit of flexibility. They grip well on steep and icy terrain and are great for the long haul and snowy packing. I do recommend an extra pair of socks as they are a bit stiff inside, but did not cause any blisters after a strenuous hike up a snowy mountain. They are warm even in -20 and are basically weatherproof. I expected a longer break-in period since they are mountaineering boots but they were comfortable after only a few wears. Although we neglected to bring our gaiters, the boots were high enough that snow did not get into our boots. These boots are definitely worth the money.
