Korkers - just what I was looking for! By Wispern from Sydney, AUSTRALIA. on 08/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Anyone thinking of fishing in New Zealand from 1 October 2008 will need to swap the felt soles for rubber - felt soles will be banned from 1 October. This is the reason I have gone for the Korkers Outfitters, my other boots all have felt soles, but I now have boots that allow me to swap the soles as required. To give more grip in the water I also purchased a pair of the Studded Aquastealth soles. The boots themselves are great, more like a hiking boot, in fact feel a lot like my more expensive wading boots. I also bought a pair of Wetlands for my girlfriend and she loves them. Good boots at a good price - great stuff!
By Flyfishin Babe from Columbus, OH on 07/30/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I recently took up fly fishing and started by using my boyfriend's boots. I wear a men's size 5, but his boots were size 11. YES, I looked and felt like Bozo the clown. Definitely having the right size boot makes a HUGE difference when trying to navigate to a choice spot in a fast moving river. But I have to say that these Korkers give me the confidence that at 5'2" and a little over 100 pounds, I'm not going to be swept downstream. They are just heavy enough to allow my feet to feel firmly secure either on the rocks or in the sand. GREAT BOOTS and the prices here are unbelievable!
" The best wading boots " By flyfisher from Thermopolis,Wy on 07/13/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The most comfortable boot waders I've owned in 25 years of fly fishing. I did end up losing one of the felt inserts while walking in a bit of mud in Alaska.
