Best Value for a 12' rec kayak By sundancekid from Williamsburg, VA on 08/12/2008 Pros: Affordable, Comfortable, Compact, Easy Entry & Exit, Easy To Lift, Easy to Paddle, Good Maneuverability, Stable Best Uses: Day Trips, Flat Waters, Kayak Camping, Rivers, Rivers Reservoirs, Sounds Creeks Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Awesome boat for the money. I bought this b/c I was looking for an affordable rec boat that was at least 12' but still easy enough for me to load/unload by myself. Can't rave enough. The shape design is a little sleeker than most rec yaks and I think that gives it an edge in the water. People swear by the Pungo 120, but I find it hard to believe that it could outperform the Sundance. Just two drawbacks: It needs a better seat and a cupholder. Other than that I'm lovin' it.
