I have been really warm every time I use it and it compresses to a reasonable size.
By kscoach from Ft Worth, TX on 06/29/2009 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Comfortable, Marmot warranty, Roomy Cons: Missing 3 oz of down, Not Warm Enough Best Uses: 3 Season Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Check your bag closely when you get it - mine only lofted up to about 4 1/2" out of the box. I thought it was odd that when I laid this bag out next to my 15 degree Marmot Sawtooth - the Sawtooth had more loft. I contacted Marmot and they fixed the bag free of charge by adding 3 oz of down. It now lofts up to 6" and should be good to go at 5 degrees. Marmot is a topnotch company and stands behind their products.
By schnitzerphoto from Lander, WY on 12/15/2008 Pros: Adjustable Hood, Great Zipper System, Lightweight, Stows Easily, Warm Best Uses: Backpacking, Cold Conditions, Fall hunting, Late-season backcountry Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This bag lives up to its description. It is relatively lightweight, has good loft, and is genuinely comfortable. To say this is the most 600-fill bang for your buck is almost understated.
