By spychic from alexandria va on 12/02/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Cons: Not Comfortable, Poor Cushioning Best Uses: At The Gym, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Gym Rat, Recreational Walker/Hiker, Street Trail Runner Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe has been relegated to light duty b/c it just isn't comfortable. I got them for light trail hiking, dog walking, and scrambling. Surprisingly, this shoe performs well on many different surfaces. It holds to the surface of the trail or rock pretty well - as long as it's not sloppy, deep mud. It's pretty water resistant and breathes well, also protects the ankle and prevents rolling. And, although it feels fine at first, the cushioning is made of something excessively spongy, causing foot fatigue and pain in 20-30 minutes. Even though they aren't bad looking, they feel kind of clunky. Just not what I was hoping for and a lot to pay for a grass cutting shoe.
By Chris from Northfield Massachusetts on 12/12/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
By Lorian & Yukone from Glen Allen, Virginia on 09/19/2007 Pros: Have good ankle support, Lightweight, Stable Cons: Hard to break in, Toes tight narrow Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I enjoy the products that I purchase from this company. Overall, they are true to description. I have bought fantastic shoes previously. This shoe will serve me well when I go hiking on trails that have lots of tree limbs and rocks. I have sprained my ankle 3 times this summer. Whent I saw the shoes, I thought that more support around my ankle would prevent a future sprain. I would like to use them more to walk on pavement, but my feet get sore after about 20 minutes of wear. I imagine that they will eventually break in. Thank you for soliciting my feedback. I would be happy to share additional information if needed. I recommend this company to all of my friends.
