An adequate snowshoe for the price. By Snowbound in AK from Southeast AK on 04/27/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Lightweight Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Fall Off Easily Best Uses: Flat Terrain, Icy Conditions, Rolling Terrain Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The binding system could be improved. They are slow to put on and take off and the straps are WAY too long. I had to cut off 6 inches of extra strap. The straps sometimes work themselves loose and fall off. They are decent snowshoes for the price and for light hiking, but if you are doing long hikes on varied terrain, these probably aren’t the right shoes.
By Sweetness from Flagstaff, AZ on 03/06/2009 Pros: Attach Securely, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: All Terrain, Deep Snow, Flat Terrain, Icy Conditions, Off Trail, Rolling Terrain, Steep Pitches Describe Yourself: Getting Started Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes work just as expected, I don’t think they can get any better for the price. I have not has any problems with mine, I have about 16 hours on them so far (got them in Jan) and they are working perfectly fine. The only complaint I have is that on the longer hikes the webbing gets a little sloppy and loose. Otherwise great, I would totally recommend them.
Good snowshoe if you like getting wet By Denmaster from Oconto, WI on 03/01/2009 Pros: Attach Securely, Compact Design, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The only thing I did not like about the snowshoe was the live response hinge. While it may lift the tail for greater speed and mobility, each lift throws snow on the back of your legs. Even gaiters won't keep you dry. I'm an off trail user so these don't work for me. I returned the showshoes and replaced them with a rotating hinge style snowshoe which let the tail drop as you walk, allowing snow to shed off the back. The rotating hinge style work perfect for me.
