By Phillipa Marlowe from New York City on 10/27/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Office Describe Yourself: High-end shopper, Stylish Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: this coat runs large. i ordered the xs & the sleeves had to be shortened about 2 inches. it's surprisingly lightweight with just the right amount of structure. it's got plenty of room for layering when the temperature drops. meanwhile it looks very cool with a belt. the color isn't cinnamon brown, though. it's more like a dark brown tortoise shell color. i like it!
I would buy this product again By Shermy from Nicholasville, KY on 09/02/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Cons: I have found no Cons Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like a coat that is loose enough to be comfortable, classic in it's lines, drapes well, travels well and you can wear with anything from casual to evening. I also love large hoods that don't restrict the head like a bullet in a casing. This coat fulfilled all of my requirements. Overall a well-made garment with clean classic lines that never goes out of style. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.[...]
By Traveler from Raleigh NC on 08/18/2009 Cons: Goofy, Pointy Hood, Wrinkles Easily Best Uses: Trip to Stonehenge Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was really disappointed with this coat, in view of all the rave reviews. I'll have to send it back. On me it looked goofy. The hood is pointy when worn up, so it looks like a dunce cap. Or maybe it just made me look like a Druid or conehead. The coat is lined, but it still looks like a bathrobe. The softness is a good idea, but unlike a quality cashmere or cashmere blend, this material just felt cheap in spite of the wool content. Also, the shape of the coat is definitely A-line, unlike the straight look on the website. So, it looked frumpy instead of straight and elegant. I can't believe this coat would retail for the price listed. To me, it's not even worth the sale price.
