His first trip was a backpack weekend in the White Mountains of NH in the rain. It was easy to pack, and comfortable on his skinny hips, and waterproof. He put clothes in the sleeping bag area, because that area was too small for his sleeping bag.

It performs flawlessly! The good suspension system makes the pack very comfortable carry. The size is perfect for a short weekend trip. I encountered a brief period of light rain but not enought to judge on how this pack perform in wet weather. So far I am very happy with the design and workmanship of this model.

Tons of extra straps. It looks nice, holds gear very well. Does not feel or look bulky, even when packed to the brim. The only thing about it is that the shoulder straps only have two adjustments. However, if you try on the Triconi 60 in the store, and it fits, this model will fit. This is an older model but better looking and the hip straps are more comfortable. The price is awesome. Also it is very dirt resistant.
