Very comfortable. It's a midsize bag so needed to hang sleeping bag off the back on a 4 day hike - was easy to do as there are plenty of attachment points on bag. Winter gear setup is helpful too.

I've only worn it to get groceries on my bike. This thing is sweet. They put alot of thought into it's design. The hip strap is good. I usually hate those and slash them off my packs, but this one is comfy. Lots of straps and pockets of all sort. Looking forward to hitting the trail with it. I'd give it five stars except I haven't used it on the trail yet.PS the tag on the pack says "free 1 year membership to [@]" but the link on the tag is 404 (dead). I emailed MountainSmith about that, but haven't gotten a reply yet.

Great support, feel good with a heavy load (full climbing rack, rope, 3 liters of water). Great value. Wish it had a removable bivy pad.
