By Hikingmom from D.C. on 06/09/2009 Pros: Blue is beautiful, Fabric feels good, Lightweight, Versatile, well made Cons: Unflattering Shape, Way too narrow across hip Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this as a light, packable, waterproof jacket for hiking in the rainy season in Central America. Colour is lovely, and jacket appears well-made, BUT although there is plenty of room in the shoulders to wear a fleece underneath, the jacket is cut very narrow across the hips and thighs. (It is longer than most rain jackets, which was part of the appeal to me.) It's uncomfortable even standing still, never mind when moving. I'm 5'6", 125 lbs, normally wear size 4 - and tight across the hips is way out of the norm for me. Unfortunately I have to return it.
By Cricket from Norton, MA on 05/20/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great lightweight jacket. Got it mainly for commuting to work but will probably use it for other outdoor activities. Already tested it on a rainy day and kept me dry and comfortable. Pit zips are great feature for keeping temp controlled.
It does what it's supposed to do By Suesuse from Cuyahoga Falls, OH on 05/05/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Large enough to layer, Lightweight, Versatile Cons: Downsize for close fit Best Uses: Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A little big but very lightweight and large enough that you can put many layers beneath or wear comfortably against your bare skin. It's long and will cover your seat if your hips aren't significantly larger than your shoulders. A good deal at this price!
