I do a lot of outdoor play. Like to hike, fish, kayak, camp-the works. I got these because I wanted something sturdy, comfortable, yet lightweight. They're perfect for just that. Very comfortable even for hiking, durable-I can climb and slide around all over rocks and run through heavy brush and they won't tear or lacerate. They are also lightweight, not too heavy, and they also aren't too hot so I can be out on those summer days dinking around and be protected while not sweating my pants off. But the cons are that they aren't too stylish and they sit a little high on my waist-I'm used to those low rise jeans that american eagle and abercrombie make. So for outdoor use like hiking and camping-perfect. But when your at work or want to present yourself well I personally wouldn't wear them, but thats what my jeans and chinos are for.
