By Motorcycle Mama from N.E., Wisconsin on 07/24/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Sturdy, Waterproof Best Uses: Beach, Car Camping, Motorcyle Touring Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Although the Delta is heavy and not suitable for the recreational backpacker, this tent makes for a fast set up. We've had ours for over two years and it's held up well both in continuous rain and windy weather. The only thing we didn't like was that since it's a "retired" model[...]We were able to find something comparable but not quite the same.
By Mary from CT, USA on 07/13/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to set up, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Collects Condensation Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The tent is very waterproof (went through a thunderstorm and tent was in a puddle of water, but no water came through. The tent is big enough for tall folks (partner is 6'4" and fit fine). The tent only comes with 7 stakes, would like to have had 10. The fly has a nice vestibule but the zippers get caught on the zipper flaps very easily. Also the fly has leaked in two places (where buckles were attached to roll it up). The leaks were minor and never dripped enough to even go inside the tent. The fly did get a lot of condensation on it but that only happened in a thunderstorm. It is great to have two doorways! I would buy it again.
By Plutino from Santa Cruz on 06/17/2008 Pros: Easy to set up, Sturdy Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A friend and I traveled cross-country with this tent for 2 weeks. We had some heavy rain (in Yellowstone), and some hot air (in the Badlands). The tent performed great. It's pretty roomy for two mid-size persons even if you are not very close. The only con is that it's too heavy, which limits its use for car-camping only. I have to buy a SD Lightning for backpacking trips.
