Lots & lots of mesh, waterproof fly. You will be hard-pressed to find a comparable weight tent with so much vestibule space. The fly has a specific orientation as the tent is not a symmetrical rectangular design - only an issue if you are in a hurry in the rain. Held up great in a downpour on it's first outing. Rained for two days straight- no issues. The fly lets in a lot of air as it does not cover all the way to the ground. Good to prevent condensation, not so good if really windy and trying to keep warm. Overall a great tent for the price. I purchased a larger Marmot for the kids after trying this one.
By mikado from charlotte,NC on 11/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Beach, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We just bought and used this tent for one night in the camping,however after a lot of miles in the montains with different tent and bad condition i can say that it's confortable and light for two people,on the other hand the outside fly is kind too short that's give a air traffic(positive point will be not lot condensation),it is definitly not a mountaineering tent but can be use in summer time until 4500m in the andes and 2500m in europe with out any trouble if you located it in a good area.The futur will tell how long it will work,my last tent was six years old with a lot of reparation.

First trip to Moab had a crazy sandstorm at night and got covered in the tent, but I still love the mesh exterior.
