I ordered a medium and could have easily fit in a small. If you want to layer heavily order normal size. Without much layering I would order a size smaller.

I needed some warm clothing for icefishing this year that is sturdy material, this fits the bill. Really cute as well. Not quite as strong of material as carhartt. Definitely worth buying though. I did order a size larger in the pants so I can layer underneath, perhaps that is why they seem overly long. nice pockets for holding extras. The legs even have zippers on the side for ease of removal while keeping your boots in place. I have not found anything in stores, or on the internet that I have liked more.
