Great shoes, excellent price By George from Washington, D.C. on 03/31/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend These shoes are incredibly comfortable, and I would recommend them to anyone. I wore them right out of the box for a night out and didn't experience any discomfort at all.
Comfort aside, I really like the styling of the shoe. I was concerned that the tread would look too awkward, but it doesn't. These shoes are perfect with Jeans or Khakis.
Buy them. You won't be disappointed.
By filmblanc from Portland, OR on 03/20/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stain Resistant, Warm Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a similar Rockport loafer with the exact same soles. Be careful with this sole. It's fine in dry conditions, but as soon as you hit a wet spot on a smooth floor, especially when you don't see it coming, these things turn into ice skates. I've gone down hard once, turning a corner, in a grocery store and nearly hyper-extended my knee a few times on wet tile. Weather you're walking in from the rain or stepping into kitchens, bathroom or a grocery store, where ever, be careful, watch your step. Unfortunately, I also love my version of this shoe. But, I'll look for something similar with a better sole.
