By thesilverrush from Boston, MA on 08/04/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Career, Classic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this product as a case for my new digital SLR camera.[...] I could not be happier with the quality of the product. It is very secure and fits my camera perfectly. I am not likely to purchase or carry additional lenses around - in which case this product would be too small. So, for me -this was a great purchase and I couldn't be happier.
Straight and to the Point By Ansel Adams I ain't from Harrisburg PA on 07/29/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, High Quality Best Uses: On Trail Nature Photo Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for a Canon XT then I upgraded cameras to a 20D. The 20D fills the bag when my 28mm to 300mm lens is attached (about 2.5 to 3" long). When my 75mm to 300mm lens is on the camera (about 4" to 5" long) it does not fit in the Beacon. I find that getting the camera out of the Beacon takes a little to long if your looking to shoot spontaneously at bugs, birds or other wildlife while hiking. I tend to keep the lid shut with the buckle only and forgo the zipper while on trail.
