keeps me dry in a downpour By billybonkers from Yachats, OR on 11/12/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a jacket that I could use for Pacific Northwest downpours with wind! This one keeps me dry. You need layers for warmth, but it seems to be wind resistant also.
Basic, effective, & very good for the $. By NB from Portland OR on 11/12/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Needed something that wouldn't be bulky in my suitcase, and 100% waterproof. THIS WORKS. It is not warm, so if it's for cold weather, better size-up and wear a sweater underneath. It will probably be quite warm in the summer (waterproof stuff usually is). While I do NOT find this jacket particularly stylish or attractive, it's not hideous (and I'm pretty vain) enough to cause babies to cry or teenagers to point and laugh. About the fit- I also found the sleeves about an inch or two too long. There is ample room in the chest (I'm busty) and the waist area is HUGE (in case you're preggers) but the hips were snug (I'm well endowed there too). Overall, for the money, it is an excellent buy, and WELL worth it.
By Gramma from Vermont on 10/30/2009 Pros: Good ventilation, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Advertized as breathable, Not breathable but not Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very sleek, attractive design; the ash bark color is neutral. Altogether this jacket looks simply elegant.
The stretch fabric contributes to the comfortable, easy fit.
The fabric is not breathable, but the design includes an impressive ventilation system.
Absolutely waterproof, and very good wind resistance.
