By Kiturgy from SWMaine on 03/04/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Lowa needs to take a page from running shoe manufacturers. These shoes have all the things I didn't like about stiff leather hikers and put them into a sneaker-like hiker. They are stiff and hard and have a narrow toe box. Because the sole is hard, they don't grip well on wet pavement or icy sidewalks. They're fine for every day where, in and out of the house/car, mud puddles.
Waterproof but kinda stiff By Sheri the dog walker from Pinehurst, North Carolina on 02/05/2009 Pros: Dries Quickly, Great Traction Cons: Not flexible, Poor Cushioning Best Uses: Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes run 1/2 size larger. They are great as far as being waterproof but are stiff with no cushioning on the sole. I'll wear them to walk my dog when it's rainy or snowing but no other time.
Maybe after they are broken in better. By kksly from Kalamazoo, MI on 01/31/2009 Pros: Dries Quickly, Durable Cons: Not flexible, Poor Traction Best Uses: All Weather Conditions Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe is very stiff. It really makes it hurt across the top of the foot. Feet stay dry but very uncomfortable.
