Nonfunctional in Cold Weather By Roadeagl from Pittsburgh on 10/26/2009 Cons: Collapses Too Easily Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The poles worked great in my 70-degree living room but on the first hike on a sub-freezing day in the WVA mountains, they absolutely wouldn't stay locked. This was a major disappointment.
By Ol' Hiker from Western NY on 08/12/2009 Pros: Easy to adjust, Good grips, Lightweight, Strong Best Uses: Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used them once since buying them and liked them. I would need a few more trips to get a better overall feeling for them but I think they will meet my needs nicely.
Light as a feather and strong By CO life is good from Colorado on 08/03/2009 Pros: Easy to adjust, Good grips, Lightweight, Strong Best Uses: Backpacking, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used these on an 11 mile trek near timber line and found them to be incredibly light and comfortable. I'm sure they will see a lot of use. Sometimes in the past I have taken a chance on my knees and not used poles because they were too heavy or cumbersome - no longer!
