Great product: don't store w/batteries By BayouSlide from New Iberia, La. on 11/10/2009 Pros: Bright, Durable, Long battery life Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great product for the price, comfortable, lightweight, perfect for hiking and other outdoor activities. Unfortunately, the battery covers are a pain to remove, but REMOVE batteries for storage. I had two and both were ruined by battery corrosion after storage for eight to 12 months: seems to be more of a problem with these any of my other lights. My other lights are fine with the same name brand batteries when stored with batteries for years. Purchased two more, but won't make that same mistake again.

Yes, there are better lights out there and you're welcome to pay for them. But you won't find a better light without paying at least double what I paid for this. I paid less than half its retail price and bought three of them.
