Great light - especially for the price. Yes, there are better lights out there and you're welcome to pay for them. But you won't find a better light without paying at least double what I paid for this. I paid less than half its retail price and bought three of them.

Good headlamp with only a small problem By Gramps from Monterey, CA on 10/19/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great light, very bright and seems to have a long battery life. It is easily adjustable and was handy while hiking in the dark. My only complaint is it's hard to turn on sometimes, especially when it's on your head. The power button is sealed in rubber and one must push exactly in the center to turn it on. Kinda hard if you have big fingers.
