By June from Ohio on 07/31/2008 Pros: Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Business, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Career, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The bag is heavier than I thought it would be, but seems to be very well-made. I am 5'7" and the handle is long enough for me to use comfortably. There are two main compartments: a padded one for laptop; and a larger one in front. It would be nice if the padding were removable as I don't always have a laptop with me. My biggest gripe is access to the larger outer section: it zips open in a half-circle, so if you want to access anything 81/2 x 11, you need to unzip the whole thing and manuver folders or papers inside. A messenger style flap top would have been much more practical.
By patsyannie from northern california on 07/14/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Career, Classic, Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like this bag. In fact, I went back to get another one for my husband. I typically use Eagle Creek, but the cost for this bag and its varied pockets quickly won me over. I will be taking a weeks trip with just this bag and its matching tote.
Looking forward to trying it out By jg from Santa Cruz, CA on 07/01/2008 Best Uses: Carry-on, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't used it yet, but it looks like it will be a great addition to my other Rick Steves luggage that I already own. Only thing that was difficult was the handle. It doesn't pull/extend out very easily.
