I do alot of off-trail hiking, over some really rough terrain and they performed very well. They are very comfortable, but offer alot of ankle support for a non-full leather boot. They look like they will hold up well. I did order a half size bigger because of the other reviews that stated that they seemed to run small, and it worked out just right!
