No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I really can't rate the performance since I returned the shorts. The mediums were way to large for my 31" waist and the smalls were a little snug. The length was right on the mediums but way too short for my liking in the small size. I liked the material and construction, but just couldn't find a pair to fit me. As someone else mentioned, the pockets are too small for my hand to fit.
