But they were gigantic! I ordered .5 (6) (after the 1 (8) was recommended by STP gal) and the button fell off so I exchanged them for 0 (4). These fit much better but, of course, are still too long. Will be comfortable, thin jeans once I get them hemmed.

I would order an 8 in these jeans next time - not a bad thing! Also the fly zips like men's jeans so I am not sure if they are really women's jeans. They are definitely flare leg, cute but not straight leg at all. Look good with boot heels

It's not a button or a snap. There are two hooks on the outside, so to speak, and a button that is hidden. I just didn't want to deal with that system all the time so returned the pants in spite of the fact that they fit really nicely.
