There was too much fabric in the pleats on the bust. Not very flattering.

The dress is very pretty but can't seem to decide what it wants to be. The body of the dress has an empire fit, but the front has a babydoll-type look, thanks to the long "tie" of gathered fabric. The two sets of angled pleats at the bust look overdone with the flowing tie right in between.The puffed sleeves are also very tailored. They hit just above the elbow. The sleeve bands feel snug compared to the rest of the dress, while the bodice feels big (and I'm not exactly small on top.) The differing tailored and flowing elements were probably intended to provide contrast, but instead they look and feel more like a mish-mash.
