Lovely fabric, fit not quite as nice By Peggy from Saginaw, MI on 08/11/2009 Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The fabric of this skirt is lovely. However, the design is problematic. There is too much volume at the high hip which makes a person look wider in that area. (Usually not a good thing.) Because the skirt is just knee length, the overall look is quite boxy. The waist area is defined by several rows of elastic. If the elastic was extended futher down the skirt, that would probably solve the problem.
By Barb from Ca. on 07/25/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Fine silk fabric, Quality throughout, Tiny thread embellishment Cons: On me not flattering Best Uses: Night Out, Special Occasions, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted this to work...colors beautiful etc. but the silk tended to float away from my body so added volumne to my look. I needed a long lean top to make some of the skirt lay closer to the body for a leaner look.
By honeybee from Ithaca, NY on 07/18/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Nice Color, Nice Fabric, Pretty metallic thread, Well sewn Best Uses: Night Out, Special Occasions Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This skirt looked beautiful as I pulled it out of the bag, put it on, zipped it up and...it fell (yes, literally fell) down around my knees. I am a size 0/2 and ordered the 2 ...the waist is absolutely enormous. I often have clothes tailored to fit my small frame better, but this skirt is beyond that. It is also quite short, so I can't imagine what size woman would wear this -- short and wide I guess.
