My second pair, but not my last By Seattle traveler from Seattle, WA on 11/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Lightweight, Packs well, Washes Well Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great travel pants. I've always liked Gramicci pants for both active pursuits and for airplane travel, but the lack of a front zipper was always a drag. It's nice that Gramicci started to offer a version like this with a zipper. The zippered on-seam thigh pocket that's sized perfectly for a passport is awesome; it's designed such that you can access the pocket while seated.
The material is perfect for travel; it packs well, dries quickly and seems to hold up well, although the material seems to suffer a bit from repeated machine washings; it's better to hand-wash them if you want them to last.
Order one size larger than normal; they definitely run small.
All in all, these are my favorite pants for travel. Three pair will get me through a one-month trip; I can wash them before going to sleep in my hotel room and they're almost always dry by morning.
My husband's favorite shorts By durango jen from Durango, CO on 11/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Great Color, High Quality, Stylish, Washes Well, Wrinkle-Free Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband loves these shorts as they are comfortable, quick drying, and look good for casual wearing and hiking, biking, etc... He wears a size 34-36 waist regularly; however he returned the larges of these for the extra larges instead to have more breathing room. He loves these shorts and has all the colors. I would say they run a size smaller, so order up a size if you don't want to be constricted in the waist; plus there is a drawstring belt if you need to tighten them up. I also notice they get slightly faded and discolored in spots;mostly in the gray and green colors, but it blends well and is not too noticeable. Over all a great pair of shorts.
