By Holly from Whitefish, MT on 10/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is hard to find a nice coat that is truly waterproof. The lining is a great coat alone too.
The only drawback is the coat is narrow at the bottom and it is a little tight when buttoned and zipped all the way.
Did the job for 3 weeks in Europe By TopCat from Carroll County, Indiana on 10/28/2009 Pros: Lots of pockets, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Liner arm holes too tight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Our recent trip had cold, damp mornings and warmer afternoons. This jacket worked very well but I put on a heavy sweater when it was very cool outside. The jacket stops the wind and rain very well.
By Geodude from Illinois on 10/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Past Columbia 3-in-1 purchases have had zip-in fleece or insulated liners - not this jacket! Liner is very thin and only anchors in the cuffs of the sleeves. Zip-in liners are greatly preferred to this arrangement. Doubtful that it will be warm enough when the weather turns cold.
