AWFUL SMELL, Breaks Easily, Cheap rubber - broke up, Choking Hazard, Dog Doesn't Like It, Not Much Fun

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

When I opened the box that these came in (I ordered 2, one for both of my dogs) I was immediately overwhelmed by the intense rubber smell. It was stronger than a new set of tires. Even if you were someone who doesn't worry much about the safety of the chemical makeup of things your dog plays with - this 'toy' would give you pause. But, I figured in the end if they sell it, it must be safe and the smell will go away.One dog won't go near it, even if I put peanut butter on the inside of it. The other dog, at least went after the peanut butter. The thing is, he is not real strong and even he bit a piece of the rubber off the first (and only) time he used it. There is a reason it was only [$]. It was NOT worth it at all.

This stick is made of rubber but I question the other ingredients. My springer spaniel chewed a large piece off of the stick within 2 minutes. I had to throw the toy away. Lesson learned.

I know other people didn't rate this product very high, but my dog loves these (this is the 3rd one I've bought...) Luckily, she's a chewer-not an eater, because she chews it in tiny pieces. She does this to most of her toys and this one lasts a long time. Hours of mulching fun.
