Not what I expected, returned the item By Ari from Central New Jersey on 10/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Hiking not skiing Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am an avid hiker and skiier. I bought this item thinking I would be wearing it on the slopes. From the reviews I read, the item appeared warm for the snowy, cold winter slopes. However, when the item arrived, I realized it was too light of a jacket and wouldn't keep me warm. It was just a shell, not really a heavy winter ski jacket. I would recommend this item more for hiking, not for extreme winter sports.
By Giving up hope from Front Range, CO on 10/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Bulky, Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been trying to replace an old goretex shell, but being petite and a few pounds overweight makes it terribly difficult to find something that will fit. This jacket was enormous, and the previous purchase (a Marmot shell) wouldn't zip up over my hips (too tight). I'm giving up and will have to go to a retail outlet. These jackets are never made for the short person so I'll be looking in the boys and girls size 16-18 (XL).
Can't wait to wear it on the slopes!
