This is a fun and well made casual jacket and so nice that I bought another one for my sister.
All perfect except range of color choice By Carmen from New York, NY on 06/15/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Pretty, Versatile Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm 5' 9", 150 lbs. and the Small fits perfectly. Gotta read those UK/US size comparisons - they tell you the truth. This garment is well cut and well made and the zipper works perfectly in both directions (a nice feature!). The zipping pockets are also a super feature, and though an interior pocket would have been nice, the construction would have made that awkward since the garment is self-lined. The fit is close enough so layering will need to be long-sleeved silk t shirts, but that's fine, as the look is a little more tailored and form-fitted than other quilted jackets. This piece will be great for running around the city or lunches in the country; it's a touch too formal for hiking or trekking. As far as colors go, I got the cyclamen saffron, and it's pretty, but an unavailable color combo would have better matched the rest of my wardrobe. For this part of the country, this is probably a March to May and Sept to Nov piece; 6 months of easy wear. Really like it.
By Carmen from New York, NY on 06/05/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm 5'9" and 150 lbs. and the Small (US 8) works well. Even the sleeves are a good length. To address sizing concerns, look at a chart that compares US and UK sizes before you choose. I got the Cyclamen/Saffron; it's bright but very pretty, and the colors give it a slightly more formal look than if they were more drab. The only reason there are 4 rather than 5 stars is actually the color; would have preferred the Saffron/Loch, but it wasn't available in my size. Very pleased with this purchase.
